Love is My Religion

I’m on vacation this week, so you’ll have to make do with reruns. Like this one:

Don’t start thinking I’ve jumped on the “I don’t like Christianity” bandwagon that’s so hot these days, because nothing could be further from the truth. I love Christianity and everything about it. Okay, maybe not everything. How about I love everything Christianity is supposed to be about. Which, in reality, is one thing: love. Everything Jesus did, said and taught revolved around love. Love your enemy, love your neighbor, love God, every other freakin’ word was love. Evidently, then, love is an important part of following Christ (which is what Christian really means as I say here). So, saying that “Love is my Religion” isn’t a rejection of the Christian faith, it’s an affirmation of it. At least, of how it should be.
